Alternative Finance Forum 2021 will take place on the 13th of October.

The panel will discuss crowdfunding as a tool for a social good, “Blue Crowdfunding” as a case in civic crowdfunding and crowdfunding for Sustainable Business. Examples from the field, such as work delivered by Goteo in Spain or by the Region of Central Macedonia in Greece, both members of the BLUE Crowdfunding consortium, will showcase the potential impact for crowdfunding.

The sectors providing financial services and social capital are transforming rapidly. New technologies, new business models and social participation challenge traditional financial services providers though new user-centric products and channels of service delivery.

Collaborative finance, Crowdfunding, plays a significant part in supporting business and projects left out by incumbent financial services firms. On 13 October 2021, at the Alternative Finance Forum 2021, collaborative finance will take the centre stage of the discussion.

The panel will be moderated by EUROCROWD, another BLUE Crowdfunding consortium member, with a focus on creating a good understanding of non-financial and financial opportunities. At the 2021 Alternative Finance Forum in Thessaloniki, Greece, financial innovators and social entrepreneurs will jointly exploring how they are utilizing new technology and design principles to transform access to finance and bring financial services to all. Today, financial products and services are increasingly reimagined and redesigned through experience-based design and innovative business models. The Forum is organized by the Business & Cultural Development Centre (KEPA) with the support of the European Investment Bank Institute in partnership with the European Investment Fund (EIF) and the European Investment Bank (EIB).
